Adopt a Family is back!  Bring in money, toys and nonperishable food items into your first period class. Food is worth 1 point, each dollar is 3 points and toys are worth 5 points. Books and games are greatly appreciated!  The top three first hours with the most points by December 9th get a free breakfast. LET'S SHOW OUR SPIRIT AND BRING IN DONATIONS!!!

Congratulations to the National Honor Society for their efforts on Thanksgiving morning with the Walk to End Hunger! They raised $6181.00 and had 60 walkers representing Forest Lake. Thank you to all for your support!

Have you heard that we are having a Black Light Sadie Hawkins Dance on Friday, December 16th ? This will be a great time to hang out with friends and dance the night away. Stay tuned for more information.

Attention all students participating in the Inauguration Tour in Washington, D.C. in January:  There will be a mandatory group meeting for all participants and their parent(s)/guardian(s) on Tuesday, December 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the Forest Lake Area High School Media Center!  Contact  Ms. Stennes-Rogness  if you have questions or concerns.

Tutoring will only be offered to students enrolled in classes at the high school (we have some 9th graders and ALC students).
Here is the schedule:
Mondays,  2:40:-4:30   Math/Spanish and French
Tuesdays,  2:40-4:30 Social Studies/ Math and Chemistry
Wednesdays  2:40-3:30 Chemistry
Thursdays  2:40-4:30 Math/Bio/general sciences

We will also offer tutoring  Monday- Thursday mornings from  7:00-7:55.  These sessions must be set up in advance.
Occupational Opportunities.....

Forest Lake Schools Community Education program is hiring for after school and non-school days in their School Age Care Program at Linwood Elementary and Lino Lakes Elementary.   Please click here for application or more information.
Rally around the Rangers
"Go Rangers!"

Softball:   There is a meeting for the Softball Booster Club  this Wednesday  at  6:00 pm  at Stella's in the banquet room.  This is a great opportunity to learn  about and discuss the upcoming softball season!  All are welcome, please attend if you are able.

Basketball:  The Girls Basketball teams have their first game of the season at home against Andover on Tuesday night. 10th grade and JV games start at 5:45 PM and the Varsity game starts at 7 PM.  Come out and show your support!

School calendar change coming 2017

A calendar shift has been approved by the school board for the 2017-2018 school year. In 2017, the first day of school will be  August 21st and the last day of school in the spring of 2018 will be May 23rd, two weeks earlier than usual. This one-year calendar adjustment will allow extra time in the summer to complete construction projects at many of the district's buildings without disrupting student learning.
The school year calendar returns to normal in 2018-2019, with the first day of school scheduled after labor day and the last day scheduled for early June.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to upgrade learning spaces around the district.
