Forest Lake Drumline is starting tonight. Drumline is a group activity where people learn to play instruments and compete competitively nationally and internationally. For more information come to our informational meeting  tonight at  6-7:30 pm in the band room. 

LAYSB is hosting a FREE Personal Finance program for teens in 8th -12th grade starting next week! You will get an opportunity to learn from local bankers about the importance of saving, how to create a spending plan, and get information on credit, debt, and identity protection. Registrations forms are in the College and Career Center.

Congratulations to our 2016 Royalty - Jorden Duda, Brynn Gestson, Tia Moscatelli, Ben Fry, Aiden Irons and Remy Brisbois - We will be voting for King and Queen on FRIDAY! 

A Big Congratulations goes to the Samurai Sophomores for winning the Powderpuff tournament...will they be able to repeat for 3 years in a row? Stay tuned for Powderpuff 2017!

The Homecoming Semi-Formal "Night at Sea" dance is this Saturday from 8-11pm in the field house.  Tickets will be sold for $8.00 all week during lunches.

Tutoring will officially begin  Tuesday, October 11th
Tutoring will only be offered to students enrolled in classes at the high school (we have some 9th graders and ALC students).
Here is the schedule:
Mondays,  2:40:-4:30   Math/Spanish and French
Tuesdays,  2:40-4:30 Social Studies/ Math and Chemistry
Wednesdays  2:40-3:30 Chemistry
Thursdays  2:40-4:30 Math/Bio/general sciences

We will also offer tutoring  Monday- Thursday mornings from  7:00-7:55.  These sessions must be set up in advance.
Occupational Opportunities.....

On Broadway Car Wash is looking for a cashier/barista. This job entails working at a register ringing up car washes, making beverages for customers, and renting out U-Haul trucks. We are looking for someone reliable, motivated, and well organized. Must have good computer skills and money management skills. Hours are one week working Mon.- Wed. 
3-6 PM and the next week working Saturday 8-6 and Sunday 9-5. So, working every other weekend and every other week. Great for a very RESPONSIBLE and very RELIABLE high school student- you could even bring in your school work to do in between car wash customers! Alpine:  Interested in joining the Forest Lake Alpine Ski Team?  Please come to an informational parent and skier meeting tonite at 6:30 in the choir room (#545) at the high school.  Coaches, parents and currents skiers will be there to answer questions and talk about the upcoming ski season.  Students in grades 7-12 are welcome to join with racing experience.  Please contact Patti Alberg at 651-245-4100 with questions.

Boys Soccer:   Join us  tonight  in Stillwater for the Boys Soccer games. JV starts at  4:15  at & Varsity starts at  5 PM  at Stillwater Area High School. Go Rangers!
Girls Volleyball:   Volleyball will be fired up to take on the Bears  Tues, Oct 4th . B/JV start at 530, V at  7pm . Join us to support those battling cancer with our Dig Pink fundraising drive.  Cheer with Community Education and Junior Rangers volleyball players. Let's pack the gym!
