New news for today......  Monday, Nov. 21st

Attention all students participating in the Inauguration Tour in Washington, D.C. in January:  There will be a mandatory group meeting for all participants and their parent(s)/guardian(s) on  Tuesday, December 20th at 6:30 p.m. in the Forest Lake Area High School Media Center!  Contact Ms. Stennes-Rogness if you have questions or concerns.

Blood Drive is this week on Wednesday. If you have turned in a permission slip prior to today or are over the age of 16 your appointment has been scheduled, you should receive an email from the Red Cross. Passes will be be delivered  on Wednesday for you to leave class and come to the drive.  If you are still interested please see Miss Brett in room 371 and you will be added to a stand-by list. 

There will be a Kahoot! game in room 325 tomorrow after school for all DECA members to come and play. This will help prepare you for the test given at districts. Please plan on attending.  First place will get a prize! DECA DECA DECA

Walk to End Hunger is coming up fast and the Dean Superbowl is in progress!  Remember to donate to your favorite dean in lunches next week! To donate online go to walk to end hunger dot org and find team Rangers Care. Thanks for your support!
College and Career Center Scoop.....

College visits coming up are:

6th Navy lunch visit
7th Airforce lunch visit
8th Marine lunch visit
13th National Guard during lunches
15th Media Center Closing at 3:30

Tutoring will only be offered to students enrolled in classes at the high school (we have some 9th graders and ALC students).
Here is the schedule:
Mondays,  2:40:-4:30   Math/Spanish and French
Tuesdays,  2:40-4:30 Social Studies/ Math and Chemistry
Wednesdays  2:40-3:30 Chemistry
Thursdays  2:40-4:30 Math/Bio/general sciences

We will also offer tutoring  Monday- Thursday mornings from  7:00-7:55.  These sessions must be set up in advance.

Boys Basketball:   Boys Basketball Tryouts at  2:45  today for JV/Varsity Main Gym.  B squad tryouts are at  4:30  and you will meet in room 601 off the main gym.  You must be registered with fees payed and have all documents completed before you may tryout.

School calendar change coming 2017

A calendar shift has been approved by the school board for the 2017-2018 school year. In 2017, the first day of school will be  August 21st and the last day of school in the spring of 2018 will be May 23rd, two weeks earlier than usual. This one-year calendar adjustment will allow extra time in the summer to complete construction projects at many of the district's buildings without disrupting student learning.
The school year calendar returns to normal in 2018-2019, with the first day of school scheduled after labor day and the last day scheduled for early June.
