The American Red Cross Blood Drive is Coming to Forest Lake High School on Wednesday, November 23rd . If you didn't get a chance to sign-up during advisory on Wednesday you can sign up on the green sheet hanging in your first hour teacher's classroom or by visiting Miss Brett in room 371.
If you are 16 years old...you need to turn in a permission slip in order to get an appointment to give blood.  Extra permission slips and a drop off box for completed permission slips are available in the activities office. Once your permission slip is in, we can schedule you for an appointment.

The end of 1st Quarter is this Friday, with 2nd Quarter starting on Nov. 8th.  If you don't have a SchoolView account to be able to see your schedule for 2nd Quarter or to check your grades for this Quarter, please email Wendy Schroeder at wschroeder@flaschools.org to get an account.  

Congratulations to the National Honor Society for collecting 2,144 pounds of food from Halloween Trick or Canning! That donation will help lots of local families in need. Thank you to all who so generously gave food!

They're creepy and they're kooky, mysterious and spooky, they're all together ooky - The Addams Family! Join us for the final weekend of this fun musical comedy. Performances are November 4 and 5 at 7 PM, and November 6 at 2 PM. Tickets are general admission and available at the door one hour prior to showtime; $10 for adults and $8 for students and seniors. Recommended for ages 10 and up.

This is a reminder that Friday is the deadline to submit your photo to be honored in our Veterans Day Program on November 11th.  All students and staff are invited to participate by sharing a picture of a family member or friend who was, or is, a member of the United States military. Please submit your picture to  www.flaschools.org/vetphoto before Friday, November 4th.  

Calling all juniors!  Are you interested in planning prom 2017? There will be a prom committee interest meeting on Friday November 11th in Mrs. Rodewald's room 115 at 7:30 am. Hope to see you there!

Way to go Rangers! The Rotary Interact Club has already collected over 20 jackets! Bring in more jackets or monetary donations to help keep your community warm this winter!

2016 The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards Program is available for the students who are enrolled in high school & a legal resident of any U.S. state or Washington, D.C.  The Scholarship Deadline is November 8, 2016.

Tutoring will only be offered to students enrolled in classes at the high school (we have some 9th graders and ALC students).
Here is the schedule:

Wednesdays  2:40-3:30 Chemistry
Thursdays  2:40-4:30 Math/Bio/general sciences

We will also offer tutoring  Monday- Thursday mornings from  7:00-7:55.  These sessions must be set up in advance.

Football:  Sophomore football players!  There will be an important meeting today after school at 2:45 in room 601 down by the gym. Please plan on attending.  See Coach Wilson if you have a question.

Boys Basketball:  Boys basketball mandatory pre-tryout meeting for players in grades 9-12 and their parents today at 6:30 pm in the high school media center.  If you are interested in trying out for a team you should make plans to attend. 

Soccer:  Attention Girls Soccer Players: the banquet will be held on November 10th at Vanelli's in Forest Lake, please respond to your email invite as soon as possible to insure an accurate count.

School calendar change coming 2017
A calendar shift has been approved by the school board for the 2017-2018 school year. In 2017, the first day of school will be  August 21st and the last day of school in the spring of 2018 will be May 23rd, two weeks earlier than usual. This one-year calendar adjustment will allow extra time in the summer to complete construction projects at many of the district's buildings without disrupting student learning.
The school year calendar returns to normal in 2018-2019, with the first day of school scheduled after labor day and the last day scheduled for early June.
