On August 25, 2017, the southern region of Texas was struck by Hurricane Harvey. Over the next week, Houston and the surrounding areas experienced an unprecedented amount of rain that flooded many parts of the city and created one of the most expensive natural disasters in U.S. history. For business owners affected by the disaster, the process of re-building will be long and arduous.
Some of our Whitley Penn team members were personally affected by the flooding; but, like so many others, we want to help those around us. We are thankful our Houston office suffered only a short-term shutdown and re-opened within a week, and we are ready to assist fellow Houston area businesses in any way that we can. You may know Whitley Penn for our ability to provide accounting services such as audit, tax consulting, or personal wealth management. But we also have a large team with expertise in the area of business interruption claim calculations and negotiations.
As businesses begin the difficult task of repairing and rebuilding, insurance coverage will be a key component in helping to recover and get the doors open for business as quickly as possible. Our team is equipped with the knowledge and experience necessary to assist businesses with the complex process of calculating the business interruption losses incurred as a result of the inability to operate “business as usual.” Please see the brochure located
for more details about these services and our capabilities.
If you need our assistance or know of someone that may need assistance, please call us. Let us handle the business interruption claim calculations and process, so you can concentrate on the other projects necessary to rebuild your business. We want to do everything we can to help our fellow Texans return to normal as quickly as possible.
