The compound bis (2-chloroisopropyl) ether is a target compound in EPA methods 625 and 8270. This webinar is designed to educate the environmental community on some problems identified with bis (2-chloroisopropyl) ether that have existed for the past few years and seem to be worsening. There is widespread confusion about what compound B2CIPE actually is, and availability and costs are a known concern.
 
We will discuss the identity of the material used as a reference standard, illustrate the issues and propose a solution to the problem.
