APPRECIATIVE INQUIRY FACILITATOR TRAINING © (AIFT) OVERVIEW:
discussion group Appreciative Inquiry Facilitator Training© (AIFT) engages participants to learn about the foundations of Appreciative Inquiry (e.g. 5Ds, principles, supporting research) as well as the skills needed to facilitate successful inquiry sessions. During the AIFT, participants will learn how to work with core teams, discover the affirmative topic for an inquiry, craft unconditionally positive questions, create an interview guide, field test interview guides, design an inquiry/summit, generate & sustain the energy during & after the inquiry, etc.

By the end of this intensive 4-day training, participants will understand how to guide organizations, groups, and communities to consciously and deliberately shift their collective way of being and seeing to an appreciative approach -- helping them focus on what's right, rather than on what's wrong.

AIFT REGISTRATION INCLUDES:

Pre-workshop reading, four full days of instruction, lunch each day, instructional materials (binder and book), supervised practicum for AI Facilitator Certification, and support/mentoring for one year.

Please note: Your trainers are available as mentor to you during your practicum - at no extra cost. They will also be part of the panel that reviews your practicum once it has been submitted. It is standard practice for the panel to engage you in a conversation about your work once you have submitted your practicum. Typically, they will respond with questions, to deepen their and your mutual understanding of and learning about AI. The practicum review is therefore a dialogical and interactive process.
