FANS FEAST ON FACTORY FWD DIRECTION & THUNDERCAR ACTION APRIL 21ST
The Tom Wood Group Indianapolis Speedrome had season high car counts across the board Saturday night. The 102 race cars in the pit area were headlined by the 42 entrants in the Last Chance Wrecker Factory Front Wheel Drive division. Weather worries were not a factor for the first time this year and the turnout of great fans showed it with a nice crowd on hand.

The Last Chance Wrecker Factory Front Wheel Drives launched their program with preliminary heats. Winners were Malik Knight, Lucas Liggett, Jeremy Miller, and Andrew Brown. The first 20 lap feature was turned in the clockwise direction. It had a good mix of rookies and veterans around the front. The checkered flag flew with freshman racer Deven Lents winning his career first over Brandon Lucas and William Coy. The second feature was also contested on the clockwise course. Rookie Knight went wire-to-wire for victory in only his second series start. Brown nearly ran him down but finished second. Miller took third.

17 hunks of Detroit iron rolled onto the Speedrome fifth-mile in the Shelbyville Auto Parts Thundercars Saturday April 21st. Popular veteran Harold Bruce and 2017 summer series champion Josh Garr split early evening heats. Garr and fellow 2017 titlist Dale Harper were in the battle for glory in the feature along with rookie Joe Gonder Jr and opening round winner EJ Neat. After 25-laps, Harper would take home top honors with Josh second and Neat third.
