Thank you to those that visited Barnes and Noble or shopped online during our recent Barnes and Noble Book Fair!  A special thank you to Richie Wright for bringing "Salad People" to the Book Fair, Tosha Anderson for hosting storytime and other Friends of the Library that donated their time!

Funds raised from these bookfairs go right back to the library for collection development. Thank you, Friends of the Library!
Do you want to keep track of the books you have read? Go to  www.goodreads.com.   Set up your own account, rate books, create your own lists, discover other authors similar to your favorites, and browse a myriad of categories.  It is a fantastic resource, and it’s FREE!
Summer Reading Program 2017
Battle of the Books Registration now open for Teens ages 13-18!  
Sign up at the Library!    Why? 
  1. Free Books!  Each participant will receive a copy of all four books!
  2. Battle teams from other area libraries by answering trivia questions about the books!
  3. A $100 Amazon Gift Card will be awarded to winning team members!

Participants will be chosen via lottery system.  Participants must sign up by June 1.

Join us for kick-off on Friday, May 19 with Author, David LaRochelle and pick up your reading log!  

Toddlers/Preschoolers: Read for 10 days and get a prize from the Toddler/Preschool Prize Bucket, throughout the program.
 
School Age Kids (going into Kdg through 6th Grade):  Pick up a necklace or key chain and pick out a brag tag.  Read for 10 days - get 10 beads for your necklace.  Exchange 3 beads for a special bead at any time to build your personalized keepsake.  
 
Tweens/Teens (6th grade and up): If beads and tags aren’t your thing, and you still want to keep track of your reading, fill out a reading log for 2 scratch-off tickets.  Scratch-off tickets can also be earned by checking out items from the library throughout the summer reading program.  Several prizes worth $25 will be given away.  All non-winning scratch-off tickets qualify for the Grand Prize (a Fire Tablet!) at the end of the program.
