Garden Shed Dedicated

On Sunday, August 13, 2017 the Haddam Historical Society hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for our new garden shed. Benefactor Jan Sweet officially cut the ribbon and unveiled the new "Sweet Shed" plaque. The shed has allowed the museum to move the gardening tools out of the outhouse and include the "necessary" as part of the tour. Please stop by for a tour of the shed, outhouse, garden or museum!

Need Volunteers for Haddam Neck Fair

Each year the Haddam Historical Society has an informational tent at the Haddam Neck Fair.

Shifts are 2 hours long and start at 10 AM. This is a great opportunity to promote the organization and meet interesting people.  It is also a chance to come out and support a community event that has been in existence for over 100 years and has much to offer. There are still many agricultural elements including horse, cattle, poultry, and sheep to name a few. There are still competitions in flowers, vegetables, and baked goods.  The baby show is still a big draw and the music is fantastic. If noise and motors are your thing there is the Street Stock Truck Pull and modified tractor pull. There is something for everyone. For more information on the fair visit www.haddamneckfair.com
