  Faith..... do I have it?

"Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen."  ~Hebrews 11:1

Greetings Faith-filled Ones!

As I write to you today I am mentally preparing to retreat with our 9 th grade confirmation students and 2 brave adult mentors! We leave on Friday at 4pm and will return to Hosanna by 5pm on Saturday. Our topic: FAITH- What is it and do I have it? We will be traveling to Camp Courage and Camp Friendship to have time together, to have fun and experience faith!

FAITH- is it a noun or a verb? The distinction matters when it comes to how we understand our faith in our daily lives and this is what our time together will explore.
  • Faith as a noun is mostly about what we should believe and how we should believe- it is important but faith as only a noun can lead to a very static faith.
  • Faith as a verb is more active. It stresses living out our faith in the way we treat others, in how we raise our kids, in how we spend our money, vote at elections, care for those in need around us, and more!
FAITH- is it a noun or a verb? Yes it is! Pray for us- the names of those attending the retreat are below. Your faithful giving to Hosanna makes this retreat possible for our young people- and so I say THANK YOU... for your faith-full-ness in growing disciples!

Faith-fully Yours!

  State Fair Coliseum Project
Aug.26 - Sept.7
(cleaning starts the night BEFORE the fair)

It's that time of year again when our Hosanna family and friends roll up our sleeves and clean the Coliseum each night of the State Fair.  Why do we do this??

This is Hosanna's largest annual fundraiser that raises over $10,000 to support Hosanna's ministries. This will be our 23rd year doing it.

Each person who signs up receives a FREE ticket to attend the Fair on the date they sign up for. Go early and enjoy the Fair. Then just show up at Gate 25 at the Coliseum at 9pm to start cleaning with others who have signed up. Carpools also meet in the Northland Mall parking lot (near City Hall) at 8pm each night for those who just want to go clean but don't want to drive there.

Sign-up Sheets are available after each worship service and at Hosanna's office. You can also call or email the office to sign up.

Senior Adult Ministry (SAM)

Hosanna's Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) is a monthly gathering of mature folks who enjoy socializing with fun, interesting people and sharing a meal together.  We typically meet on the first Thursday of the month (unless it falls on a holiday, then we meet a week later) for lunch.  We alternate the location - one month at an area restaurant and the following month at church.  Our primary goal is to enjoy each other's company, laugh and establish enduring friendships
