Have you ever wondered what teachers do on Professional Development days? Well approximately 80 staff members from Young and Fountain Woods came together for professional development on Friday. The participants consisted of general education, special education, and academic achievement teachers from grades K-5. Every staff member utilized a chrome book to listen to audio files of students reading aloud and answering the comprehension questions from the F&P benchmark. The staff then divided into cross-grade level groups to collaborate on their findings. This was the culminating activity for a series of PD and CPT sessions.
This series has been extremely beneficial for the reliability of the data collection for our K-5 students. Our staff rocks!  We believe in lifelong learning!
