Home of the Falcons!
"Fountain Hills Middle School empowers students to learn, to care, and to succeed."
Principal's Message                                 September 21, 2018

Hello Falcon Families,

With the end of the First Quarter just around the corner we are gearing up for Parent-Teacher Conferences. This is a great time for parents and teachers to discuss the successes of the students, address the struggles, and renew the partnership between teacher and parent. Hopefully, conference time is just one more opportunity for the team to work towards the common goal of helping our students succeed.

Starting the week of October 1, teachers and grade level teams will provide opportunities for parents to come in and get a first-hand account of their students' successes. If any parents require a language or ASL interpreter for conferences, please contact our office at 480-664-5414, as soon as possible.

4th Grade: Conferences will be held the week of October 1 by appointment. Scheduling notices were sent home this week. Please contact your child's teacher if you do not receive a notice.

5th Grade: Conferences will be held October 2-5 by appointment. Scheduling notices were sent home this week. Please contact your child's teacher if you do not receive a notice.

6-8 Grade: We will have conferences during the day on Thursday, October 4 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. On Friday, October 5, teachers will be conferencing from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. It will be an "open house" format for both days, and parents are invited to attend as convenient.

Special Note: Mrs. Larsen will be unavailable October 3 - 5. Please contact her directly to schedule a Parent-Teacher Conference. [email protected]

Also, Mr. Pugliano has a soccer match on October 4. Please contact him directly to schedule a Parent-Teacher Conference.

Finally, we are happy to welcome Mark "Kelly" Wood to the Falcon Family! Mr. Wood will serve as the 6th grade science teacher for the remainder of the school year. The 6th grade team is excited to have Mr. Wood join them and the students have started to get to know him, as he started this week. Please make sure you take the opportunity to meet Mr. Wood during conferences. Look to the FHUSD Facebook page for a more detailed introduction.

Happy Friday! Have a restful weekend!
