Welcome Back to McDowell Mountain Elementary School!

It was a wonderful first week back at school including "Meet Your Teacher" on August 3 and the first day of school on August 6!  Here are some highlights:

Bobby's Thoughts

I need to go to bed.  Staying up late all summer sure has made it tough getting up so early in the mornings.  But I was also so excited about today... I couldn't wait to see everyone!

YIPPPEEEE... a new school year!  I've missed all of my friends!  I can't wait to tell them all about my summer too.  I wonder what they did all summer long.  Did they go to the pool, visit cousins, see a baseball game, take a vacation... oh, I can't wait to talk to them!

I'm also very proud of my little sister, Muffin.  She has been working hard to become
a therapy dog just like me. She passed her "Good Citizen" test and now we are waiting to take the BIG test soon. I told her that I would help her as much as I could and so I am going to let her come up here on a Thursday and take my place for the day. She will go around to all the classrooms and visit everyone. My mom will be with her and will help her know what to do. I hope everyone gives her lots of hugs just like they give me.

Today when I went to school I visited every classroom and even got some letters from my old friends.  They make me so happy.  My mom said I had a big smile on my face!

New year, new look to my school, new friends, new school supplies, new teacher, and a new lunch box!  WOW!  I'm just so excited...my tail just can't stop wagging!
