Ronnie is Here!

Following a 50 hour journey from Uganda that was supposed to take 24 hours, Ronnie Sseruyange arrived safely in the U.S. to begin his three week visit.   With his usual positive spirit, Ronnie--our program director in Uganda-- said "it was a good experience".

During his time here, Ronnie will visit schools, churches and community organizations to thank them for supporting Jajja's Kids and to share stories and photos of our children's home and community outreach programs.

Queen of Katwe - the movie

A movie recently came out called Queen of Katwe.  It is the true story of a young Ugandan girl who becomes a chess grand master while growing up in Katwe, a slum in the heart of Uganda's capital city Kampala.  Ronnie worked with children in Katwe for many years, and Diane visited there several times. We highly recommend seeing this film to get an insight the challenges faced by thousands of young children living in Uganda.
