A.S. Government
Welcome to a new school year, Spartans!

The Associated Students Board of Directors has been preparing for the school year all summer. We are excited for the beginning of the fall semester and the opportunity to represent each of you.

Food insecurity at SJSU and across all CSU campuses is an important issue. At the first board meeting of the year held in the Diaz Compean Student Union on August 23 rd , the board approved $5,000 to support 8 campus food shelves . To learn more, visit sjsu.edu/wellness/foodresources .

A.S. Child Development Center
Associated Students wishes Maria Davis (in picture), Director of the Child Development Center (CDC), a happy retirement! Maria provided leadership to the center for seven years. During that time, the CDC flourished, making it a model center in Santa Clara County and receiving five-star platinum ratings from the California Department of Education.

Heather Vise is the new new Director of the Child Development Center! She brings a wealth of experience working in early childhood education, having served as a teacher, program specialist, assistant director and director through Stanford University's Childcare program.

The A.S. Child Development Center is an innovative early childhood education and care program for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. The care programmed opened doors to young children and the SJSU community in 1972 and has been providing high quality early education ever since.
