Family Focus...
              MIGHTY MAVERICKS
Our 2015 Mighty Mavericks Family Focus Event was a hit!  Our special guest, The Pancake Man provided a delicious brunch to charge our engines before the fun began.  Our event provided energized entertainment for individuals of all ages and abilities.  From hanging out with Durango, to playing 'shoot out' with the Hockey team or 'keep it up' with the Volleyball team, the participants were able to interact with UNO athletes in a variety of sports themed activities.  Every child was a winner, along with the many valued volunteers and student athletes from UNO who contributed to this amazing event.
                HUSKER HEROES
The 6th Annual Husker Heroes event was again a huge success with over 1,000 people joining together at Memorial Stadium.   Husker Heroes is directed by Life Skills Coordinator, Stacey Burling and members of the ONE Coalition, which UCP of Nebraska is honored to be part of.  Nearly 200 incoming Nebraska student-athletes, along with the Husker Spirit Squad, served as the primary volunteers who played sports related games or activities and interacted with the participants.  Special thanks to all who attended as well as all of those who volunteered to make it a magical night in Memorial Stadium!   To see a glimpse o f the event watch this  video

VALA'S PUMPKIN PATCH
Over 400 people attended our Fall Festival on October 3rd.  The weather was absolutely perfect and the company even better! The families were able to enjoy the great attractions that the pumpkin patch had to offer them throughout the day.  All that play brought growling stomachs back to the pavilion for roasting hot dogs by the campfire, followed by S'mores as a delicious treat! A special thank you goes out to all the volunteers who helped make this night the success that it was. We appreciate you!
