Harvest Pageant Registration Sept 11
Registration for the Harvest Festival Pageant will be Tuesday, Sept 11 , at the Chamber of Commerce office located inside the Municipal Complex from 4:30 to 6:30pm. The pageant will be Monday, Sept. 24 at 6:30pm at the Headland High School Auditorium. 
The Pageant is open to girls ages 4 through 12th grade who live in Headland or attend Headland schools. The queens will reign over all the Harvest Festival activities including the Harvest 5K Run Sept. 29, the Harvest Festival Fly-In at the Headland Airport Oct. 6, and HARVEST DAY, Oct. 13. The queens will also ride on the Headland float in the National Peanut Festival Parade.
Pageant registration fee is $25 per contestant. Contestants wear casual fall attire. One winner will be awarded in each division. Photogenic is a separate category and DOES NOT count towards total score. The fee for photogenic is $5 per picture and is optional. For more information, call Teresa Peterson at 618-1323 or the Chamber at 693-3303.

Diann's Florist & Gifts celebrated it's Grand Re-opening at its new location at 100 East King Street, on July 19. They are open Monday - Friday 8am-5pm, Saturdays 8am-12noon and offer an expanded selection of gifts and flowers. Call today, 693-2994.
Sun Stop Market celebrated its grand opening on July 26 with food , clowns, face-painting and drawings for prizes. The market offers a deli, sandwich shop, soup and salad bars, groceries, gasoline, and much more. The Headland Sun Stop Market is open Monday-Saturday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m., and on Sunday from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. The store is open 364 days a year, only closing for Christmas Day.
