Fall In Love with Taking Care of Yourself 

There is still time to join us for a class or classes to improve your health and wellness or just add a little more fun to your day.   We offer new recreation programs and events each season. Drop-In Fitness Classes    

Did you know over we offer 24 Drop-In Fitness classes weekly and they are part of your admission to the HCC? This week we are launching a new release for BODYPUMP - enjoy new music and moves. BODYCOMBAT begins this Thursday at 5:30pm and returns on Sundays at 9am. Due to some scheduling issues, Tuesday BODYCOMBAT is cancelled and we will let you know when the class is reinstated. See the full Drop-In Fitness schedule  
Native Plant Sale - Saturday, Sept. 16

The Friends of Runnymede Park will host a native plant sale in Runnymede Park on Sat., Sept. 16 from 10am-2pm.  Watermark Woods will be onsite selling plants and you can check their inventory prior to the sale.   The Friends of Runnymede can assist with pre -orders. Contact  Carol Hadlock   (FORP) with questions.
Herndon Kids Triathlon - Sunday, Sept. 17

Please be aware our Kids Triathlon will be held on Sun., Sept. 17 starting at 8am. The event will be held in and around the HCC, Bready Park, and on the W&OD Trail. The event is full and registration is closed.  We hope you can join us to cheer on the kids or we still need volunteers. Click here to volunteer
Family Fun Fitness Day - Saturday, Sept. 23

Families save the world from unhealthy villains by blasting through physical activity and learning stations. Get your superhero training card validated to gain your full superpowers and be entered into a raffle for prizes, plus join in family ZUMBA® and BODYCOMBATâ„¢ classes! Free and no registration required. Events run between 9am-12pm and take place at Town Hall Square, 730 Elden Street, Herndon, VA. Click here to volunteer. 
Nature Fest - Sunday, Sept. 24

Explore various unique nature stations throughout Runnymede Park (195 Herndon Parkway) including butterflies, bees, life in the meadow, web of life, and much more. Live animal shows throughout the day. Arts, crafts and fun for the whole family. Event runs 1-5pm with FREE admission. Parking is limited, park at the Herndon Police Station, 397 Herndon Parkway and ride the free shuttle. Click here to volunteer.
Bark Bash & Pooch Parade - Sunday, Oct. 1

Fun for pups of all sizes! Learn about local resources for that furry member of your family. The event will be held 12-3pm on the Town Hall Square, 730 Elden Street. Make sure to bring your pup in costume, and participate in the parade. Free and no registration required. 
Online Racquetball Reservations                                        

You can now reserve HCC racquetball courts online. The courts can be reserved for racquetball, wallyball, badminton and table tennis. Reservations can be made up to 7 days prior to the date you are reserving. Court fees are due at the time of the reservations. All participants must also pay admission to the HCC or scan their admission pass. Use WebTrac to r eserve your court. Homecoming Parade - Saturday, Oct. 14

Be a part of this community-wide celebration Sat., Oct. 14 at 9:30am.  Sign-up to march in the parade (forms due Fri., Sept. 22) or plan to watch the parade and cheer on the participants. The parade theme is "Across the World". Elden Street, Sterling Road, and surrounding streets will be closed from 9am-1pm, which could impact access to the HCC. Other ways to get to HCC, besides Ferndale Avenue and the Herndon Parkway are from Vine Street or Park Avenue. Click here to participate in the parade.
Digital Scavenger Hunt - Saturday, Oct. 21

This digital scavenger hunt will have you exploring various businesses and areas in Downtown Herndon. All hunters meet at 777 Lynn Street and be ready to start the hunt at 10:30am. Prizes for winners who discover all the hidden treasures. Fun for all ages. Parents must accompany children at this event. Free event and no registration required.
