This family-friendly, FREE “street festival” celebration commemorates these Cuban, Italian, Spanish, Jewish and German immigrants that settled in Ybor City in the late 1800’s as the cigar factories thrived. Fiesta Day attracts families and people of all ages.
The 71st Annual Fiesta Day promises great musical talent. Check back soon to see who will be playing this year!
Fiesta Day started out as a “verbena” or day of rest for the cigar workers who settled in Ybor City’s, “Cigar City Capital of the World” from Spain, Cuba, Germany and Italy and now attracts thousands of passionate people to the festival’s exquisite ethnic food and entertainment. Ybor City’s famed “La Setima” or 7th Avenue is closed to traffic and the festival celebrates the “Best of Ybor” and includes ethnic food, arts & crafts, and ethnic music on our 7th Avenue Stage.

The Krewe of Sant’ Yago’s annual celebration of Tampa civic pride is back! The 2018 Knight Parade, presented by MOR-TV, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 10, led by this year's Grand Marshal USF System President Judy Genshaft!
Special guests Jerry Springer and Judge Lynn Toler, host of "Divorce Court," will also be back for the parade this year! Fans will have the opportunity to meet them at a meet and greet in Centro Ybor at 4 p.m. on Feb. 10 before the parade kicks off.
Every February, thousands of costumed participants, special celebrity guests, and dozens of illuminated floats and marching bands roll down Seventh Avenue in historic Ybor City, tossing scores of beads to the tens of thousands of revelers and families that line the street.

The Ybor Merchants Association invites you to celebrate Fat Tuesday as part of the Annual James E. Rooster Parade! Sponsored by Brinley Gold Shipwreck Rum
A New Orleans-style jazz Memorial Procession (known as the Rooster Funeral) encourages participants to stop at participating Ybor establishments for Mardi Gras themed food & drink specials.
A colorful procession of “mourners” will follow behind the casket of James E. Rooster.
The event begins with a funeral wake to honor James E. Rooster at The Dirty Shame and will be followed by the Chicken Parade along 7th Avenue with stops at Tequillas, The Big Easy, and Bad Monkey!
This is a local tradition carried on by the fowl’s former owner, to Tommy Stephens, following the bird’s untimely demise in the jaws of a dog in 1997.

This event is free and open to the public. Must be 21+. Come dressed to impress! Costumes with a Mardi Gras or chicken theme are highly encouraged as well as an abundance of beads, flowers, and cowbells.
