Living in this coastal paradise, we don't always get the colors of changed leaves and crisp, cool breezes welcoming us to Fall, but this year we have! (Well, maybe not the leaves so much . . .)

We've thrown open the windows during many of our classes the past few weeks and enjoyed the fresh air wisping through the studio - it's been glorious.  We have a great line-up of classes and workshop this month and next, including two free classes this week, so come join us and see what I mean!   Schedule

Yoga & Yamuna Special Offerings
Full Moon Yin Yoga, Tuesday, Oct 7, 6:30-8:00pm
Set the tone for the upcoming holiday months ... for a stress-free and relaxed you!

Join Karen and celebrate the full moon with a Yin Yoga practice. In Yin-style yoga the poses are held for around 3 minutes and have a quality of stillness. This works deeply into the hips, pelvis, spine and shoulders to unlock tensions. After you have experienced Yin Yoga even just once, you will realize its profound benefits. Community, donation-based class.  Reservations are recommended as space is limited. RSVP

Yamuna believes that our feet are the foundation of the body and that Yamuna� Foot Fitness is essential for everyone at any fitness level. Strengthen your feet and you will strengthen your whole body. This workshop gives you simple proactive tools and solutions that can help you alleviate pain and prevent it.  This extended workshop will include routines for calves and shins as well.

Yamuna� Foot Fitness helps prevent or alleviate common foot problems such as:
Plantar Fasciitis
Morton Neuroma
Flat Feet
Hammer Toes
Fallen Arches

Yamuna� Body Rolling:
Save Your Hips!

All of us need to keep our hip joints aligned, greased and oiled all though life for maintaining our circulation and muscular - skeletal integrity from our hip to our feet and from our hips to our head. When your thighbones are restricting your movements, it is usually because they are stuck in some position in the hip joint. This class will explore all the possible movements and connections of how to work the hip joint to the thighbone. We will work the hamstrings, quadriceps, adductors, IT band and deep lateral rotators.

Yoga in the Park

Our first Yoga in the Park at Gascoigne Bluff on September 21 was a great success!

Next month we're teaming up with instructors from SoGlo Yoga, King's Square Yoga, As Hearts Connect Yoga, and A Walk in the Clouds Yoga to bring you a Full Moon Yoga in the Park.  We'll meet in Downtown Brunswick on First Friday at Queen's Square NE (caddy corner from Old City Hall on Newcastle) for a 1 hour practice en plein air.  Sunset will be just before 6 and the nearly full moon will be rising, leaving a perfect backdrop to enjoy First Friday after practice. 

Community Class ~ bring a mat or beach towel and a friend. RSVP

November Food Drive
November is our month of Giving Back!  We'll add special classes, samplers, open house events and other offering to our regular line-up as well as designate a few weekly classes as Giving Back classes.  In lieu of class fees, we'll collect food donations (for humans and fur-friends) for our local food banks and charities.  This is a great time to try something new!
