B'tzelem Elohim Seeing the Divine in Our Faces

In an evening designed just for women, Rabbi Cherina Eisenberg will be our guest. 

The Torah teaches that we are created in God's image ( b'tzelem Elohim ). Where is the Divine located within us? How do we find the Divine in others? Come and explore the nature of the Divine within our humanity.

Challah for the Holidays

Shabbat Shalom

A New Shabbat Program for Everyone! 
Shabbat Shalom will be more than just a greeting at TIS. It will be an entire Shabbat experience meeting the needs of all ages and stages. Here is how our day will look:
  • Taste of Shabbat: Our abbreviated learners service.
  • Shabbat Play Date: Families with young children through Kindergarten are invited to come and enjoy free-play, songs, stories, grape juice and challah, and more. 
  • Shabbat Rocks: Kids in grades 1 - 6 (divided into two groups) will explore the weekly parasha, become more familiar with the service, and engage in fun activities.
  • Midrash Shabbat: Our monthly Kiddush Luncheon follows all of our 10:00 a.m. programs offering an opportunity for learning.

Meet and Greet

with Rabbi Dorsch
Our small group gatherings with Rabbi have been very well received. Many wonderful ideas and suggestions about the bright future of our Synagogue have come from this time together as well as mutually getting to know one another.

Our next scheduled Meet and Greet will be Sunday, November 12th, 10-11:30 a.m. at a congregant's home close to TIS. If you are able to attend, we will send the address and host's name to you when you RSVP.
