Island Golf

 


Mackinac Island boasts three unique golf courses that all
sit nestled among the trees with spectacular views of Fall Colors
and Lake Huron.

Play The Jewel, also known as the "Grand Nine"  for scenic beauty, rich landscaping and breathtaking views of Lake Huron and Round Island. After completing the Grand nine, you and your clubs will be transported via horse-drawn carriage a mile and a half to "The Woods" nine. The leisurely 15-minute ride includes parts of the island unseen by many visitors.

Wawashkamo Golf Club, one of Michigan's oldest active courses, celebrated its Centennial in 1998.
One of very few American courses laid out in a links style that remains substantially unaltered. Named one of America's Historic Golf Landmarks by Golf Digest in 1996, Wawashkamo sits on the historic site of the Battle of Mackinac Island in 1814.

Halloween Weekend, October 24-27

Halloween Weekend on Mackinac is a time to celebrate Fall and the seasons end. Take part in the Great Turtle Half Marathon, enjoy the local fare at Downtown restaurants and bike around the Island to view the glorious Fall colors. 

 

The Island shops work hard to clear out their inventory with great discounts and sales. Be sure to browse on Main Street, Market Street and all the hotel shops. This makes a perfect weekend to skip out on Black Friday and get a head start on holiday shopping.
