The weather is dreary but it's going to take more than that to keep us indoors. This week, the fun and annual Safaricom Family Challenge is back to test your credentials as a team. The Lord Erroll hosts The Hootenanny, an evening of laughter, traditional and contemporary music.

The September edition of The Marie Pierre Wine Club is set for this weekend while the rib-cracking Dinner Theatre staged at Karen Country Club makes its second run. For a calmer, more serene experience, try De-Stress & Relax - a meditation event at Braeburn School.

Blankets & Wine: Karibu Mzansi pays homage to post-Apartheid South Africa and also commemorating their own milestone is the star-studded The #Loyal Street Party. If you're a book lover don't miss the KMS Second Hand Book Sale, a great chance to add to your collection. For the arts, check out master artist Jak Katarikawe's exhibition and the 7th Open Show.

Happy trails to Nairobi Cocktail Week 2014 and the Rugby Sevens Series as they both come to a close this weekend. But here to take their place is the Thai Food Festival and marathon season starting with Mwea Classic Marathon.

Scroll on to be in the loop of all that's in store for the upcoming week. Enjoy.
