Tug of Love
THIS WEEKEND!!
What: Tug of War team competition
Why: To raise money to support a local special needs summer camp (Camp Hooray, formerly Camp Wellspring)
Who: Extra Special People and over 300 families in the local area whose children and young adults have developmental disabilities
When: Saturday, August 27th, roughly starting at 10 am
Where: Camp Hooray, 193 Lindsay Lane, Jefferson

212 DEGREES OF LEADERSHIP ACADEMY





The D2L Program is a training program where we are trying to train 5% of the adult population in Jackson County to be able to spot and prevent child sexual abuse in children.  This is a two hour training and is $15/person for supplies. Please let me know if you wish to have this training done at your facility or business and we will arrange a time.

Holiday Connection
Holiday Connection will have a different format this year.  The families MUST come to us and apply for services and bring proof of residency, proof of income, and identification on ALL persons living in their household.  We will need volunteers to help us on application days and we also need locations to accept applications on the following dates, times and locations:
Sun., Oct 2nd - Commerce - 2-6pm - St Vincent De Paul Thrift Store
Mon., Oct 3rd - Commerce - 11am - 7pm -  St Vincent De Paul Thrift Store
Tues., Oct 4th - Jefferson - 10am - 3pm - Jefferson 1st United Methodist
Wed, Oct 5th - Jefferson - 11am - 7pm -  Jefferson 1st United Methodist
Thurs., Oct 6th - Jefferson - 4-8pm - Jefferson 1st United Methodist 
Sun., Oct 9th - Braselton 2-6pm - Community Room (Public Safety Bldg)
Mon., Oct 10th - Braselton - 11am - 7pm -  Community Room (Public Safety Bldg)

This is a program where we provide warm clothing to kids who need them. We also occasionally provide financial assistance in emergency situations (must be referral from another organization, church, or school).   We collect gently used coats, gloves, and hats. Please call if you have items to donate or use the button to make a monetary donation. undefined
NOW - Nutrition on Weekends
The NOW program  provides snacks and food to the children on the weekend that otherwise would not have food. The NOW Program is the umbrella program which works with several other agencies which actually pack bags and deliver the food.
