A local summer favourite, Driftwood Theatre Group's Bus Tour presents Shakespeare's masterpiece, "The Tempest," on Aug. 12 at 7:30 p.m., located at Celebration Square in Whitby. This is a story of magic, power and forgiveness told in Driftwood's signature style-blending movement, song, puppetry and classic storytelling. Admission is pay what you can.

AUTOFEST 2014
|
Get your engines revving and head down to Oshawa's annual Autofest, to check out more than 1,400 Hot Rods and special interest vehicles. This year, there's also a special exhibit of Mustangs. Make it a day that's fun for the entire family by enjoying the many different children's activities. Autofest begins with a kick-off party in downtown Oshawa on Aug.22, and the fun continues until Aug.24.

BLACKSTOCK FAIR

It's that time of year again! Bring the family out on Aug. 23 for the Blackstock Fair. The entire family will enjoy the opening parade, livestock shows, petting zoo, music, food, and so much more. And, on Aug. 22, be sure to check out the Garden Tractor Pull and Demolition Derby.

THE TASTE OF AJAX

Delicious! On Aug. 9, Rotary Park transforms into the Taste of Ajax where guests can savour flavours from local restaurants, while enjoying live entertainment, activities and community displays. Admission is free with nominal fees for food, beverages and some activities.

August Moonlight Madness features great sales at unique shops in Historic Downtown Bowmanville, plus live street entertainment, buskers, street food vendors, and much more.
