Dear CSRATA Members,
I hope you had a Merry Christmas and are looking forward to a New Year. I am writing to you for the final time as President of the CSRATA, as my term expires at the end of this year. I look back over the past year and think of all the successes we have had together. We have hosted the USTA League 18+/40+ Mixed State Championships, put together a successful member appreciation day, planned JTI play days, increased adult league participation, offered a scholarship to two local seniors, continued our wildly successful tennis apprentice program, initiated new and innovative marketing campaigns, and
more! All of this has been implemented in a fiscally responsible manner which will insure that the CSRATA is able to continue being the best tennis association in the state for years to come.
I want specifically to thank each and every one who served on the Board the past year, as each person donated countless hours to grow and support tennis in the CSRA. These board members include: Rob Strickland, Kim Frank, Linda Dollar, Bill Waters, Diane Hess, Nancy Crawford, Lucy Anderson and Barbara Leisey, Carolyn Drake, Dave Gleason, and Kenny Brown.
Please say a big "thank you" to any of them who you see on the courts, as tennis in the CSRA counts on these fine people. I would also like to welcome Jaye Cohen and Cathy Moseley to the board. They will begin serving in January.
I look forward to seeing what the CSRATA has in store for 2018. I have utmost confidence in next year's board, that they will continue building on our solid foundation and reach even greater heights.
Very truly yours,
