Foundation Scholarship Applications
Now Available! 

Last year the Grundy County Farm Bureau Foundation awarded $8,000 to children of Farm Bureau members in Grundy County. Scholarship applications are now available and are due back by March 31st to the Grundy County Farm Bureau office. Applications can be found  on our website or can be picked up at the Grundy County Farm Bureau office.

Veterinary Feed Directive Meeting 

Space is still available for our VFD Informational Meeting on February 15th in the cafeteria of the Dwight High School. Grundy County Farm Bureau is teaming up with Livingston County Farm Bureau to present this event. Dr. Al Whitman, owner of Whitman Vet Clinic in Piper City will present the program beginning at 6:30. 2017 Draw Down 

The date is set for the 8th Annual Grundy County Friends and Grundy County Farm Bureau Foundation Draw Down! Join us March 25th for food, fun, and to support great programs in Grundy County. 

The Gardner American Legion will once again serve as the location of our annual draw down. Festivities will begin at 5 pm with dinner and soon after the drawing will begin.

Summer Ag Institute 
Know a teacher looking for grad credit or continuing education credits?
       This coming summer we will be hosting a Summer Ag Institute 2 July 11th-14th. This second level in our course will be open to those who have completed level one and also those who are new to the program. Level 2 will focus on food and how our food gets from the farm to the consumer. If you are a teacher and would like to be part of this great opportunity to earn graduate level or continuing education credits contact Yvonne or Victoria at 815.942.6400 or [email protected]. Kendall-Grundy Beef Association Banquet 
Tickets are now available for the 2017 Kendall-Grundy Beef Dinner. March 4th at Jennifer's Garden in Morris. Contact your local Beef Rep for tickets. 

 

Farm Bill Working Session 
With Congress planning farm bill field hearings in the coming months, Illinois Farm Bureau members need to get their ideas into the mix and provide policy direction. The next local sessions will be  February 15th:
10:30am: Gilman, Ford-Iroquois County Farm Bureau
5pm: Ottawa, LaSalle County Farm Bureau
