Last weekend was a great Father's Day weekend out at the Market! We will have several new vendors out this weekend with exciting new products.

 

We will be having our Annual Garden Dinner, Saturday, July 18th beginning at 5pm in the evening at the National Steeplechase Museum. The dinner will be indoors, and catered by Lilfred's Catering. Tickets are on sale now and will be available this weekend. Stop by one of the three locations and get your tickets today!
We will also be offering sponsorship opportunities. The deadline for sponsorship is Wednesday, July 8th. If interested please contact Casey Bolton, Market Manager.

Food for the Soul is out at the Farmer's Market every weekend selling sod to feed and shelter the hungry and homeless in Kershaw County. Please visit their website to learn about their amazing story and how to make a donation.
WHAT'S IN SEASON

 

           

Okra, one of the South's unique foods. Outside of the southern United States, okra is most commonly found in the Middle East and India. It is high in vitamins and has zero fat. 

With a variety of uses, okra can be fried, roasted or added into your favorite gumbo recipe.

Annual Tomato Contest

 

           

The Master Gardeners will be holding their 2nd Annual Tomato Contest on Saturday, July 18th. There will be a variety of categories and prizes awarded.

Penelope Carter will be out for the first time this week with pine needle baskets.

 

Old McCaskill's Farm will be having a special on boneless quail breast.

 

Isom's Delights now has Cookie Stack Packs available. They are packaged cookies of one dozen for $10 each.

 

Jackie Jordan with the the Master Gardeners will be out August 15 to give a talk on fall vegetable gardening.

 

Food for the Soul will be selling sod to help feed and shelter the hungry and homeless.
