It's almost here... Warren County's premiere event that has something for everyone!

In addition to all the carnival games, rides and food one would expect from a country fair,  this event boasts a massive balloon launch every evening, which is quite a sight to see. And unlike some balloon festivals, this one can be enjoyed without any extra charge. Just pay one low admission fee at the gate to have access to the Fair and Balloon Festival. And parking is free.

There will be lots of power events throughout the week, including two demolition derbies; equestrian events; the Kids' Corral; car, truck and motorcycle shows; even a live pro wrestling event.

Some more low-key features that you can take in all week while strolling around at your leisure include the Traditional Arts & Quilt Show and Home & Garden exhibits; checking out all kinds of animals, large and small; and be sure to stop by the "Warren County & You" Government Exhibit Building, where you will find giveaways and chances to win a balloon ride for two or a pair of tickets to the Mud Bog if you vote for your favorite exhibit by Wednesday evening.

Sunday is Veteran's Day (free admission with ID card) and Monday is Senior Citizens and Disability Awareness Day (free admission with Medicare card and a resource fair will be held that day on the Dance Floor).

Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for ages 5-12. Children 4 and Under Free
Admission is for both the Farmers' Fair and the Balloon Festival *  FREE PARKING  * Sorry, Cash Only for Admission

Come see the Evening Stars at UACNJ Observatory

The United Astronomy Clubs of NJ at the UACNJ Observatory runs a FREE outreach program for the public every Saturday night, April thru October, conducted from around 8-10pm.

If you have never seen the planets through a telescope you are truly missing one of the world's best views, but planets aren't the only objects visible; one can see star clusters, double stars, galaxies, nebula and other deep sky objects.

Many deep sky objects like Andromeda and the Milky Way are clearly visible at Jenny Jump by eye or through binoculars. So if you have a pair, bring them.

These outreach nights are not only a learning experience but they are a fun family outing opportunity. In addition to public viewing, there is also a talk starting around 8pm on various astronomy topics.

Please check UACNJ.org  for a list of topics to be presented, directions, and for any additional information.

Children are encouraged to come with Adult supervision. Because Astronomy isn't only for kids, IT'S FUN FOR ALL AGES.
