Kids 'Gone Fishin' Day Join us for the 6th annual Kids 'Gone Fishin' Day! Children and parents will practice fishing and casting techniques. They will also receive their own rod and reel, tackle box, and snacks. Sunglasses, hat, and parental supervision required. Click here to register by July 20. Ages: 4 - 11 Date: Saturday, July 25 Time: 9 - 11 am, 10 am - 12 pm, or 11 am - 1 pm Activity: #310541-01, #310541-02, #310541-03 Location: Carpenter Lake Nature Preserve (10 Mile Rd, East of Inkster) Fee: $20 --------------------------------- Free Summer Programs Enjoy a summer afternoon at the Nature Center with a story, nature hike, or fun science experiment! Art, Music, and Theatre Camps Whether it's exploring a famous artist, or learning facial expressions on the Farmington Players Barn stage, children will learn all about art, music, and theatre this summer! Register your child for a step-by-step drawing camp, or an InterACT music camp! Most camps are for children ages five to 12. For camp information, click the image below. --------------------------------- Relax and enjoy fun-filled evenings of great music in the gorgeous surroundings of Heritage Park. All concerts are free to the public. Bring a lawn chair, blanket, or picnic dinner for family and friends. Location: Heritage Park Amphitheatre (In case of inclement weather, concerts will be moved to the Costick Center.)

Riley Archery Range Open Shooting Hours The Riley Archery Range includes eight shooting lanes, providing shooting opportunities for people of all ages. Times run now through August 8. Times: Saturdays, 9 am - 12 pm, and 2 pm - 5 pm Sundays, 11 am - 7 pm Tuesdays, 11 am - 7 pm Wednesdays, 11 am - 7 pm Fees: Adults - $6 per hour Youth/Seniors - $5 per hour *Equipment Rental (bow and five arrows) $5 per hour *You may also bring your own equipment. For more information about times or equipment, call (248) 477-1135. -------------------------------- Youth Soccer Register your child for this instructional program to help develop concepts of team play and individual soccer skills. This five-game schedule begins Saturday, September 12, with practices held once a week. Ages: Kindergarten - 5th Grade Fee: $65 / Non-Resident: $75 *Register your child here. *Please be sure to choose the school that is closest to the family home when registering. ------------------------------------------- SAFE Softball Tournament & Picnic Sign up your team or cheer on your favorite City department team at the second annual SAFE (Suicide Awareness For Everyone) softball tournament and picnic. Each month we highlight a place, participant or program. This month, we're shining the light on: Heritage Park, the #1 Place to Take Your Kids in the Ann Arbor/Detroit area! In a recent survey sent out to over 25,000 KidsOutAndAbout subscribers, Heritage Park was voted the #1 place to take kids throughout the Ann Arbor/Detroit area! The Farmington Hills Ice Arena came in at #20, and Heritage Park Nature Center was voted Favorite Nature Center. Click here for the full list. Riley Archery Range Grand Opening Join us for the grand opening of the new Riley Archery Range at Heritage Park! There will be live shooting demos, games, prizes, vendors, and much more.
