WOW-I SLEPT till 7:30 AM!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!
Amanda must have had a GREAT night-I only remember getting up once-or was it twice!!???
Ecclesiastes 5:12 (KJV)
12 The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.
I have a dear friend I have known since kindergarten. He is PROUD to call and consider himself a mere "dirt-farmer."
There is not an ounce of self-pride in his body!
He,like many of us has WORKED hard all his life and even in "retirement" continues to rise daily and WORK!
His daddy, as well as mine, OFTEN reminded their children that:
"HARD work NEVER killed anybody!"
I believe that same principle applies to the WORK of God!!!
Ecclesiastes 9:10 (KJV)
10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.
Beloved, "WHATSOEVER" God has called YOU, "WHATSOEVER God has tasked YOU with, "WHATSOEVER" God has spoken to YOU,
"DO IT WITH THY MIGHT!!!"
How well do I remember the job where my fellow employees too often spent more work "NOT working" than working!!
And I am positive YOU have heard-probably more than you care to remember-
"
A JOB WORTH DOING IS WORTH DOING WELL!"
This "WORK thing" also applies to the Christian-ESPECIALLY to the Christian called to WORK for God!!!
1 Timothy 3:1 (KJV)
1 This is a true saying, If a man desire the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work.
For WE Christians WE MUST have "a GOOD report of them which are WITHOUT!" before we can have a GOOD report of them WITHIN the Kingdom!!!
1 Timothy 3:7 (KJV)
7 Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
Jesus said:

37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Many years ago, I received into my heart and spirit the true adage;
"
GOD CAN DO GREAT THINGS THROUGH THE MAN OR WOMAN THAT CARES NOT WHO GETS THE CREDIT/GLORY!"
As I get ready to visit my dear son Joshua, God reminded me of a poem I hold near and dear to me:
Father, where shall I work today'
And my love flowed warm and free.
Then He pointed me out a tiny spot,
And said, "Tend that for me."
I answered quickly, "Oh, no, not that.
Why, no one would ever see,
No matter how well my work was done.
Not that little place for me!"
And the word He spoke, it was not stern,
"
Ah, little one, search that heart of thine;
Art thou working for them or me'
Nazareth was a little place,
And so was Galilee."
TODAY, WHO are YOU working for!!??
