Father's Day 6/19/16
1 Corinthians 4:15 (KJV)
15 For though ye have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet have ye not many fathers: for in Christ Jesus I have begotten you through the gospel.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!
As an added plus, this father/grandfather/Zada has the JOY and honor of conducting the WEDDING of Madison Drucker and Braeden Taylor TODAY-6/19/16!!!
CONGRATULATIONS MADISON AND BRAEDEN!!!
I spent much of last night reminiscing.
Sometimes, though THANK GOD it is rarely, I ALLOW myself a few moments to mourn and reflect "on those things left behind."

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Holidays have been hard on me these past few years and I PRAY today is much different!
I went to see my youngest son Joshua yesterday and enjoyed wonderful love and sweet fellowship with.
My oldest son, BUBBA, will be here today as well as my daughter, little Amanda.
Looking forward to a great FATHER'S DAY!
TODAY, IF you have a FATHER or FATHERS in your life, DO NOT NEGLECT to SHOW them your sincere LOVE and appreciation-many of us do not have an earthly father left to thank.
I thought on this fact yesterday-I have no one on earth today to call a FATHER.
BUT I have MANY in Heaven who made me the man I am today!!

I well remember seeing a billboard years ago that read something like this:
"
WHAT DO YOU CALL A MAN WHO SIRES A CHILD AND FLYS THE COUP?
THE ANSWER-A CHICKEN!!!"
A FATHER must FIRST OF ALL be FAITHFUL!!
My entire Christian life has been firmly based on this ONE SCRIPTURE:
Luke 16:10 (KJV)
10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.
I have stated MANY times in my life and ministry "that I may not be the BEST husband, father, preacher, pastor, friend, musician-
BUT I have ALWAYS tried to be FAITHFUL!"
Another FAVORITE saying of mine is "If you think I am terrible at this today, you should have seen me a few years ago!"
Often times-TOO OFTEN- a good FATHER must come to the conclusion of "HAVING DONE ALL, TO STAND!"
Ephesians 6:13 (KJV)
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
The FATHER must allow his children to stand on their own and learn how to FAIL!
SELAH-THINK ON THAT FATHERS!
A Father MUST "go BEFORE them!"
John 10:4 (KJV)
4 And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
One CANNOT teach what one has not done!!!!
Matthew 10:25 (KJV)
25 It is enough for the disciple that he be as his master, and the servant as his lord. If they have called the master of the house Beelzebub, how much more shall they call them of his household?

IT IS ENOUGH FOR THE DISCIPLE THAT HE BE IS AS HIS MASTER!"
Finally, a good father must "LAY UP" for his children!!!
2 Corinthians 12:14 (KJV)
14 Behold, the third time I am ready to come to you; and I will not be burdensome to you: for I seek not yours, but you: for the children ought not to lay up for the parents, but the parents for the children.
