Sunday on Paseo Creek, hosted by the Paseo Creek Art Galleries, will once again provide an entertaining June afternoon on Sunday the 17th from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. Contemporary Art Gallery invites you to "Outside the Lines," an exhibit of new work by featured artists Diann Harris Howell and Janice Mathews-Gordon. On surfaces small and large, both artists build striking abstract compositions of dramatic shapes set off by distinctive lines and expressive color. The exhibit also features work by other gallery artists and will be on display through July 1.
Becky Mannschreck will demo at the Summer Wine Art Gallery. Becky Mannschreck is the daughter of the late artist Katy Kay Bonner. Her mother's influence can definitely be
seen in her technique as well as her choice of pallet colors. The technique is alla prima using a fan brush to block in the composition and apply transparent colors. She then switches to a pallet knife which she uses predominantly to complete the painting by adding opaque colors and blending them with the previous wash to make the subtle petals and smooth backgrounds.

Such verity attracts those whom travel too close to the art realm; who dip their feet in the waters but choose to stand upon the shore. Though artists Chris Claussen and Kenneth Hoving walked distinctive avenues in their lives they were destined to discover the same path. Influenced by unique expressive desires each artist set upon the creative course to share modes of history, experience and philosophy. Direct in method, Hoving's bronze casts exemplify the smooth, earnest narrative while Claussen prefers the less direct and most mysterious practice of abstract new media to convey his personal axiom; both artists command their media with absolute understanding. Come and enjoy both artists at their creative best this month at Paseo Originals Art Gallery.

The serene and peaceful images by Greg Davis combined with the stormy weather photos by David Mayhew create Visions latest exhibit "War and Peace"!
