Summer has officially arrived! And if you would love to be spending it in the beauty and vibrancy of the Hamptons, check out our recent staging.
The owners of this new 6 bedroom, 5 1/2 bath
home set on 4 acres with a gunite pool realized that in order to showcase their property and differentiate it from others on the market they needed to stage at least the main level of the house. Otherwise the listing would show a series of empty rooms that wouldn't catch a buyers eye online, and worse, would leave them feeling "empty" when walking into the vacant space.
See
below
for the Before and After photos.
And this Saturday, July 1st, you can view it in person at the Open House from 10:30 to 12 noon.
Warm Regards,

"
Jackie and I love showing this house. You have done such a fantastic job of staging it, that most people who come to see it, don't want to leave! We love your attention to detail including your selection of furniture, artwork, and right down to the hand towels. We look forward to working with you again soon."

$3.295M 6 BD/5.5 BA Home on 4 acres
in Beautiful East Hampton, NY
As you can see below, photos of an empty home do nothing to engender positive feelings in a buyer and catch their eye online amidst the scores of other newly built homes on the market in the Hamptons. That is why the owners of this
home realized that staging at least the main floor was necessary in order to sell it.
In addition, we also staged the beautiful bluestone terrace showing buyers how they can enjoy the space for outdoor entertaining and relaxing, close to the 50 foot heated gunite pool.

Tips and Tricks of the Trade:
Summer Touches To Refresh Your Bedroom
With the arrival of summer comes the need to bring a lighter feel to most living spaces, especially the bedroom.
Houzz contributor,
Meera Innes offers some great ideas for integrating "quick and simple updates to give your sleep space a fresh, warm-weather mood."
Pack away your winter linens
Swapping heavy soft furnishings is one of the quickest ways to update a bedroom for summer. Sturdy wicker baskets like the ones on top of the wardrobe here are ideal for storing bulkier items, such as winter bedding; tucking them away atop the wardrobe makes the most of storage space and keeps warm blankets accessible in case the nights get chilly.
Keep your decor light and bright
Replacing your heavy duvet with lighter sheets and blankets is just the start; also consider incorporating a brighter color scheme and embracing florals and fluttery fabrics. Here, floral cushions paired with a pale pink throw, delicate curtains and a lightweight rug are enough to transform the feel of the room. For a crisp final touch, add freshly cut flowers.
Make the most of natural light
Long summer evenings are the perfect time to recline in a comfortable chair and enjoy the last of the day's light. Create a seating area in your bedroom near a window - leading into the garden, if you're as lucky as the owners of this well-positioned bedroom - where you can curl up with a book or a glass of wine before bed and enjoy the evening breeze.
Dare to go bare
Few things feel as summery as padding around the house in bare feet. To re-create that barefoot holiday feel, swap heavy winter rugs for something lightweight in a natural texture, such as sisal, or keep the floorboards bare. If you have fold-back shutters, throw them open to flood your room with light and let in the summer breeze.
Boost your color scheme
If your bedroom features strong, dark colors that aren't easy to change - on a wall or piece of furniture, say - fear not: A summery bedroom might only be a few pillows away. Dress the bed with crisp white sheets and then add splashes of vibrant color through soft furnishings for a bright and breezy bedroom. Well-placed mirrors are also a great trick for maximizing the light in a room.
