Thursday, August 25
... D
epart this morning from McPherson and transfer to the Wichita Airport for our mid-morning flight to San Francisco. Upon arrival we will embark on a private introductory sightseeing tour as we travel into the city, providing us with an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with the culture, history and beauty of this city. The conclusion of the tour finds us in the heart of Union Square and arrival at our hotel, the Marriott Union Square Hotel. Enjoy a group dinner together this evening.
Friday, Aug. 26
... This morning journey across the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County, visiting the Muir Woods National Monument
(walk among the giant Redwood trees!) and then returning to Sausalito for lunch (on your own) and a bit of free time along the waterfront area of the town of Sausalito. Return to San Francisco by ferry, enjoying incredible skyline views. The afternoon and evening are free for you to do as you please.
Saturday, Aug. 27
... Begin today at the farmers market in the historic Ferry Building, followed by a walking food tour of the North Beach neighborhood. A unique culinary experience not to be missed! The evening is on your own ... you might be interested in getting tickets to Beach Blanket Babylon, a high energy pop culture satire complete with extravagant costumes and headdresses ... one of San Francisco's most popular attractions.
Sunday, Aug. 28
... Today is yours to pursue  your favorite interests and activities ... ride the world-famous cable cars, shop in Union Square or along the waterfront, or visit a museum. You may want to book a day trip to the wine country north of San Francisco, or visit the infamous federal prison on Alcatraz. If you're in need of exercise, climb the stairs to Coit Tower in the historic neighborhood of Telegraph Hill.
Monday, Aug. 29
... After breakfast we will transfer back to the airport and our return flights home, arriving in to Wichita in the evening and then continuing on to McPherson.
We've combined a good mix of group activities as well as time for you to pursue your own interest. There's so much to do and see!
