New Year, New Books!
Some ideas to mix it up in 2018!

It's the time of year when most of us make New Year's resolutions. However, now that it's February, it's safe to say, most of us have already stalled on our grand plans.
Here are some library inspired resolutions to spice up your reading life:
Load a juicy audiobook onto your smartphone to listen on the go each month, read a book that's wildly outside your normal reading habit, or maybe only read blue covered books for the month of March.
Whatever you choose these can be fun and achievable reading resolutions!

From January 31st - February 2nd, library staff were away at the Ontario Library Association Conference in Toronto. This is great opportunity for us to connect with other libraries and staff, attend numerous professional development workshops and presentations, and learn about what's new in the library world. We are always excited to come back with fresh new ideas that we can implement into our library system!

As always thank you for making the library a part of your life.
Best Wishes Heidi Eshikaty!
Congratulations and best of luck to our Technology & Training Coordinator, Heidi Eshikaty, and her husband Isaac who are expecting their first babies! Heidi will be starting her maternity leave April 1st as their twins are due to arrive this spring. Help us wish Heidi all the best!
Blind Date with a Book.
It's that time of year again ... Blind Date with a Book!
Each library has a display of books wrapped up concealing the titles. What is revealed is a short description of what the book is about.
Those adventurous enough will checkout one of these books, take it home, unwrap it, and discover what book they have to read.
Will it be love at first read, a curiosity that grows into love, or not just your type?

In the year 2044, reality is an ugly place. The only time teenage Wade Watts really feels alive is when he's jacked into the virtual utopia known as the OASIS. Wade's devoted his life to studying the puzzles hidden within this world's digital confines—puzzles that are based on their creator's obsession with the pop culture of decades past and that promise massive power and fortune to whoever can unlock them.  But when Wade stumbles upon the first clue, he finds himself beset by players willing to kill to take this ultimate prize. The race is on, and if Wade's going to survive, he'll have to win—and confront the real world he's always been so desperate to escape.
