Ongoing Activities: Fighting Ferry Tolls - Update from McClees Consulting


House Bill #93 was filed on 2/16/2015. If passed by the NC  House and Senate, the bill would eliminate all tolls for all ferries. Rep. Michael Speciale and Rep. John Torbett filed House Bill #93. with Representatives John BellBecky CarneyGeorge GrahamPricey Harrison, and coastal Representative Paul Tine signed on as co-sponsors.

RFQ for Outer Banks National Scenic Byway Wayshowing Project


Sealed bids for the Outer Banks National Scenic Byway Wayshowing Project in Dare, Hyde, and Carteret counties will be accepted by Dare County until 11 a.m. on March 11, 2015. The scope of work includes the manufacturing and installation of wayshowing elements along the entire Outer Banks National Scenic Byway. The project includes providing all road signage, orientation panels and frames, and installation of all proposed elements as depicted on the project plans and documents. Chore Provider- Ocracoke Island; Health Department

 

The Hyde County Health Department is currently seeking a part-time employee to provide home management help to elderly and disabled clients on Ocracoke to help them remain in their own homes.
