This past month, Dr. Derick participated as a symposium panelist at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine (her medical school alma mater), where she gave career advice to first-year medical students.
Dr. Derick recently served as the Chair of a special skin cancer screening for Illinois State legislators at the Illinois Capitol in Springfield, as part of her ongoing efforts to raise awareness about skin cancer prevention and sun safety. This outreach is sponsored by the Illinois Dermatological Society, of which she is Vice President.
