"Celebrate Chinese New Year"
Thurs., February 19 @ 3:30 - 4:30 PM
It's the "Chinese Year of the Sheep." Kids age 6-10 may join in the fun with this special celebration that includes stories, crafts and activities. Please register in advance to attend.

Library Closed Presidents Day 

The main library and the Farms branch will be closed on Presidents Day, Monday, February 16, 2015. 

Important Tax Form Info
The IRS is not providing the usual level of tax forms and instructions to public libraries this year due to budget cuts recently passed by Congress. The IRS will send public libraries the following: 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ. The IRS will NOT send: Instruction books, schedules, or any other forms. Download printable forms here. Once forms arrive at the library, they will be available on the 2nd floor of the main library near the Reference area, and at our Farms branch. All federal and MA forms are available on a first come, first serve basis. We are not able to hold forms. Please direct any questions to our Reference staff: 978-921-6062 (-6066 for the Farms branch).
2nd Annual "Bad Art" Night!
Going a bit stir-crazy during this cold, dark winter? Need to get out and express yourself? Well, we've got the answer. Come make BAD ART with us on Thursday, February 26 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM! We'll supply the basics and a few BAD ideas. No talent necessary. Free; no registration required. Drop in anytime; latecomers welcome. This program is geared toward adults (ages 16+), as our art supplies will not be safe for children. Handicapped accessible. Intro to 3D Printing

Join library director Patricia Cirone at the main library on Thursday, March 12 for an introduction to the basics of working with a MakerBot Replicator, Fifth generation. The workshop runs from 6:30 - 8:30 PM in the Sohier Room. You'll also learn the basics of downloading and designing objects using Thingiverse, Tinkercad and SketchUp (see their free basic download option). Feel free to bring your laptop! "Let It Snow" with Elsa*
Wednesday, February 11 @ 11 AM
Join us for stories, sing-a-longs, dancing, games, and a red carpet coronation with everyone's favorite princess, Elsa. Children are invited to come in costume! *Brought to you by Coordinated Family & Community Engagement Program and the Beverly Public Library. Funded by a grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care awarded to Peabody Public Schools.

Pizza and a Movie:
"The Maze Runner"!

Thurs., Feb. 19, 12 -2 PM
Sohier Room

Bored and hungry during school vacation? Come eat free pizza at the library while you watch "The Maze Runner" (PG-13) on our big screen! This thrilling film about a boy trapped in a maze with a group of other boys is based on the popular YA book.

February Art Exhibit
February 3 through 26

The main library hosts a special exhibit of photographs by Maciej Knapczyk in the Sohier Room this month. Maciej works in both color and black and white, and the subjects of his vibrant and crystal clear prints include landscapes both near and far, still life, and nature studies. New Discount Pass: Harvard Art Museums
The main library is now offering a discount pass to the Harvard Art Museums. The pass admits 2 adults at no charge. The pass can be reserved at the Circulation Desk on the 2nd floor, or by calling the Circulation Dept. at 978-921-6062.
