Celebrating Partnerships:

At AgeOptions, 2016 is the Year of Partnerships. Our theme for the year, Celebrating Partnerships: Making a Positive Impact TOGETHER, recognizes the different kinds of partnerships that are at the core of our service to older adults, people with disabilities and those who care for them.

Celebrating Two of Our Community Partners

In conjunction with the AgeOptions theme for 2016, Celebrating Partnerships: Making a Positive Impact TOGETHER, AgeOptions NOW will feature some of our partner agencies throughout the year. Click on the links below to read about two of them:

"I Feel Like I Can Breathe Again"
   
Alice was living on $900 a month in Social Security payments and struggling to cover her daily living expenses and also pay hospital bills. She and her daughter, Janice (we're not using their real names), didn't know what to do until Janice contacted AgeOptions and spoke to Bailey Huffman, a benefits access specialist. As a result, 2016 is going to be a much better year for Alice and her family.



Illinois Needs a New Budget and New Revenues to Fund Vital Services

Passing a state budget is not the total solution to the budget Impasse. New revenues are essential to reach the goal of on-going funding for vital services. AgeOptions continues to chronicle the loss of vital services, and the closing of community agencies in Illinois.  Read more
