This year at Yarn Nook has started with a bang and there is so much more in store for us all in the coming months. As the Yarn Nook inventory continues to grow, so does our Yarn Nook family. February Sit & Stitch
Don't forget to bring a project and the details of construction to "Show-N-Tell" for an extra 15% off of your purchase that evening only. T he project must be made from Yarn Nook yarn. P lease also provide the name of the yarn used, needle size, pattern name, etc.

Ladies, remember that Knit Night is a great time to get together with our fellow fiber junkies and visit and share ideas. Bring "mindless" knitting so you can enjoy the  conversations without the fear of messing up a complicated pattern. We all know its hard to concentrate when we are having a good time!

February Crochet-a-long (CAL)
Michele Coker will host a crochet-a-long on February 12th, 19th and 26th. The pattern for the "Stairs Shawl" we will be crocheting is available on Ravelry for $3.99.  

J oin Michele from 1pm - 3pm to work on this beautiful shawl and get 10% off all crochet-a-long supplies. The pattern calls for fingering weight yarn, or you may use Dream in Color Jilly Lace Mini Skeins and hold two together. Stop by to sign-up and choose your yarn soon!
February Knit-a-long (KAL)
Join us for an exciting Mystery Knit-a-long .  Please stop by the shop to purchase your pattern through our ravelry store and to get your first clue.  Three subsequent clues will magically appear in your Ravelry library every Friday thereafter. You will receive an email and ravelry message notification each time a new clue is ready and at the end of the knit-a-long you will have created  a warm, cozy shawl. 

The final measurement for the semi-circular shawl will be 28" deep with a wingspan measuring 60". The finished shawl will be a wearable art piece full of textured cables, knitted leaves and lace. A nice sampling of many techniques all in one project!

 Classes & Workshops

Class Information

You must pre-register for all classes and pre-pay to hold your spot in the class. Class sizes are limited and if no one has signed up within 24 hours of the class, it will be canceled. Supplies for classes must be purchased from Yarn Nook.

Year Long Afghan 2 ~ Block 11 (Lace), $30
Saturday, February 13th, 11am -1pm
WOW we are almost done. The goal of this square is to learn how to knit lace from a charted pattern. The square is worked in the round from the center out. Techniques used are Emily Ocker's cast on, k, p, yo, ssk, k2tog and sk2-sl1-k2togtbl. Please call the shop to sign up. Taught by Bridget Borne.

Beginner Crochet Class, $30
Saturday, February 27th, 11am - 1pm
Have you always wanted to learn to crochet, or are you a knitter who would like to use crochet stitches to add beautiful edgings and embellishments to your knitted pieces? This class is for you ~ join us to learn something new and fun! Taught by Michele Coker.

Create Your Own Knitting, Crochet or Weaving Class
This class is for anyone from the beginner who wants to learn the basics to the advanced student who would like help tackling a specific project. If you would like to schedule a group or a one-on-one lesson please call the shop ~ we will be glad to schedule a lesson at your convenience.
