All Month Long
5th Annual Legislative Pet Food Drive - Now through May, County and State elected officials from both parties join together with Long Island Cares to collect pet food during the winter. Each participant will choose specific timeframes and community partners. Call your local senator, legislator, assemblyman, or town supervisor to ask where you can drop off new, unopened, pet food donations!

The Harry Chapin Practice-A-Thon - Calling all music students of Long Island!  Now is the time to get pledges for the Harry Chapin Practice-A-Thon! Sponsors pledge to donate as little as a penny for every minute you practice during March, so the more pledges you get, the more money you raise for Long Islanders in need!  Visit our website to get started!
  

Week of February 1st
SOUPER BOWL Canned Soup Drive - Now through February 7 please collect cans of soup for our non-competitive "Souper Bowl" - a spin on the NFL Super Bowl to bring in much needed soup donations during the cold winter months. Collect at your Super Bowl Party!
 
Feb 7th - 5pm to 10pm -3RD Annual Super Bowl Event "COLLECT FOR A CAUSE" - hosted by Chapters Rap Radio. RVC Lanes - 100 Maple Avenue, Rockville Centre. Contact [email protected] information on price to participate in this unique bowling fundraiser. Donations of canned goods will be collected for Long Island Cares.

Wednesday, February 10th - Suffolk County Dept. of Labor Job Fair - South Huntington Public Library 145 Pidgeon Hill Rd Huntington Station, NY, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m  - Long Island Cares Information Booth!
  

Week of February 15th
Saturday, February 20th & Sunday, February 21st - Annual East Islip Soccer Club Tournament and Food Drive at East Islip High School. This event is sponsored by Legislator Tom Cilmi - don't forget your non-perishable food donations!
  

Week of February 22nd
Monday, February 22nd - West Hempstead Franklin Square Girl Scouts 19th Annual Community Food Drive 2016 - The drive ends March 14th!  Drop off locations: St Catherine Church, St Catherine Siena Center, George Washington School, Cornwell Avenue School, Polk Street School, John Street School, Washington Street School, West Hempstead Public Library, Franklin Square Public Library, Ridgewood Savings Bank, St Thomas School and Church.  The schools are only drop off sites for attending students and staff/administration of the school.

Friday, February 26th - Resume Writing Workshop - Longwood Public Library, 800 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island NY - 1p.m. - 3p.m. - Long Island Cares Information Booth!
