Z-Letter
February 2016 | Issue No. 6

IN THIS ISSUE...
Dear Z and Golden Z club members,

Three new Z clubs and three new Golden Z clubs have chartered since the last Z-Letter in November. Since the start of the 2014-2016 Biennium, we have added 44 clubs, which is an increase of nearly 16 percent.

We encourage all Z and Golden Z clubs that are active in service to apply for the 2016 Emma L. Conlon Service Awards, which recognize clubs whose service projects express the mission of Zonta International to empower women through local and international service and advocacy. Please continue reading for more details.

We are very pleased with all the Z and Golden Z clubs who cooperated with Zonta clubs or organized their own events for the 2015 Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign during the 16 Days of Activism from 25 November - 10 December. We are proud of all the creative ways you showed your support in raising awareness of, and taking action to end, gender-based violence.

You will also find in this edition of the Z-Letter a sneak preview of Zonta's new website, information on the special rate for Golden Z club members to participate in the 63rd Zonta International Convention in Nice, France, and as always, highlights of the amazing activities you and your fellow clubs organize and lead.

We appreciate all that you do to advance Zonta's mission, and are grateful to all of our student clubs and sponsoring Zonta clubs. Please remember to send your photos of your projects and meetings.
We will feature them on our Z Club and Golden Z Club Facebook pages and in future newsletters.

Warm regards,
Lori Robinson
Z and Golden Z Club Committee Chairman

Following the walk was a gospel concert of the Nigerian group, Dynamite, which is comprised of young people who have left violent pasts and today sing of the joys and wonders of the world. The two clubs cooperated for other events during the Zonta Says NO to Violence Against Women campaign, and worked to distribute 5,000 coasters with the Italian phone number for women victims of violence. They left the coasters in public bars, restaurants, pubs and anywhere a coaster could be used to attract the attention of potential victims.
