Tax Forms Have Arrived
The main library and Farms branch have federal and state income tax forms available on a first come, first served basis. Quantities may be limited and are determined by the  IRS and  MA Department of Revenue. Find more information, including helpful state and federal links,  here. 4th Annual "Bad Art" Night 
Thursday, February 16 from 6:30 - 8:30 PM (Drop-in)
Sohier Room, Main Library
Going a bit stir-crazy during this cold, dark winter? Well, we can help. Come make BAD ART with us! We’ll supply the basics, refreshments, and a few BAD ideas. This adult program (age 16 and up) is free. No talent or registration required. We start at 6:30, but  drop in any time. For more info, email  [email protected] or call 978-921-6062, x2135. 
Self Checkout Now Available!
Do you often dash into the library on your lunch break or after work to grab that weekend read or movie? Is a quick run to the library often on your weekend errand list? Well now there's a way to check out your library items faster. The main library now offers a self-checkout station, located at our 2nd floor checkout counter. Read more  here.
"Deep Freeze" Pop-Up Book Shop
Saturday, February 11 from 10 AM - 4 PM
Barnet Gallery, Main Library
One day only! Break free of the winter doldrums and come browse books, DVDs, CDs and Friends merchandise all at book sale prices. Refresh your winter or vacation reading while helping the Friends support the many programs of the library. Hardcovers $2, paperbacks $1, all children's books 2/$1  - cash or check accepted. Complimentary refreshments will be available. 
Upcoming 3D Workshops
"Intro to 3D Printing": Tuesday, February 14 
"3D Design with SketchUp": Tuesdays, February 7 and March 7
6:30 - 8:30 PM, Sohier Room, Main Library

Got Books? We'll Take 'Em!
Our library  Friends group is currently seeking donations for the spring book sale. We accept donations of gently used books, movies and music (no textbooks or magazines, please). Donations can be dropped of in the Children's Room on the 1st floor of the main library, or at the checkout desk on the 2nd floor. All book sale proceeds go directly back to the Library, supporting programs, materials and special events. Questions? Call us at 978-921-6062.

Save the Date: Annual Spring Book Sale
April 1 through April 9, Main Library
We're getting closer to spring every day and that means it will soon be time for our annual Friends of the Beverly Public Library Spring Book Sale. It starts Saturday, April 1 and runs for 9 days. There'll be books for all tastes and ages at amazing bargain prices - $2 for hard cover, $1 for paperbacks and kids books, 2/$1! More details next month, but for now, be sure to mark your calendar.

21st Annual Teen Poetry Contest
Calling all teen poets! The library is now accepting entries from local teens in grades 6 through 12 for our Annual Teen Poetry Contest. Find complete information including rules, submission form, and other details here.

The following events are open to young adults in grades 6 through 12:
  • Pizza and a Movie: Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar ChildrenWednesday, February 15 from 3:45 - 6 PM, Sohier RoomJoin us for this new release on our big screen and eat free pizza! 
  • Anime Club: Tuesday, February 21 from 3:30 - 5:30 PM, Sohier Room. No signup needed. 
  • Pizza Book Club:  Wednesday, March 15 from 3:45 - 4:45 PM, Sohier Room. Read a great book, discuss it, and eat free pizza! Open to teens in grades 6 through 12, but especially good for middle school. Our book this quarter is Milkweed by Jerry Spinelli. Registration required.

"Crowd Paintings" by Miranda Updike

North Shore artist Miranda Updike will exhibit a setup of paintings focused on the subject of crowds, many of the works featuring an aerial perspective. Winter Pre-School Story Times and  "Tales for Tots" are in session, through March 13. And please join us for these upcoming programs: 
  • "West Beach Mansions, Then and Now": Tuesday, February 14 from 7 - 8:30 PM. Illustrated lecture by Farms historian Nancy Coffey. A presentation of the Beverly Farms History Project. Q & A included. All welcome, no signup needed. 
  • "Library Valentines Drop-In": February 6 - 10 from 3 - 4:30 PM. Drop in this week and create a Valentine for someone you love - and we'll mail it to the person of your choice! For kids age 5 - 10. 
  • Pre-School Music with Dara: Friday, February 3 at 10:45 AM. Lively interactive musical program for kids 18 months to 5 years and their parents/caregivers. All welcome. 
Art @ the Farms: “Four Artists, Four Styles”
February 2 - 27, Conrad Lecture Hall
Four artists - B. A. Fuller, Rebecca Fuller, Olga Hayes, and Ken King - present a variety of photographs, watercolors, and collages, much based on New England scenes. “Artist’s Reception” on Thursday, February 2 from 4 - 7 PM. All welcome!
