A Word From The Board- Leah Hoppes
The Member Education committee was created just last year for the sole purpose of developing  educational business programs to server our members. It was formed in response to our survey where you told us you were hungry for business education.

Last year's program focused on marketing. We held six different workshops throughout the year which covered marketing fundamentals, branding, print advertising, email marketing, social media, and even how to pull everything together into actionable results. Among the fantastic feedback we received from participants, one member told us just attending one of the workshops "paid for her entire membership." That's what we love to hear!

This year these educational workshops will be focused on business strategy and the tools needed to stay in business. Big thinking and hoping will not keep you afloat, you need sound business strategies which include things like identifying your vision, developing a business plan, creating a budget, understanding how to hire in (or hire out) and learning how to effectively manage your operations and vendors -  no matter what size of business you're in.

The classes people enjoyed the most last year were presented in a workshop style because it gave attendees time to really work on solutions for their particular business while also allowing for discussions with their business peers. We're going to replicate that same facilitator-led workshop style again this year.

If you're passionate about helping our members grow their businesses then maybe you'd like to join us on the committee to help us with next year's classes!

Legislative Luncheon
Illinois Chamber State Update
Eagle Brook Country Club, 2288 Fargo Boulevard, Geneva
Keeping on top of the ever-evolving legislative landscape can be difficult; the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce is here keep you up to speed.
Currently, the Illinois Senate is working on a multi-point, bipartisan package for our state budget. The deal will likely feature a tax increase, cuts in spending and other reforms to create a more stable business environment here in Illinois.
Its easier than you think to play a part in this process - you don't need to go to Washington DC or Springfield. Stay engaged and become vocal about the issues that matter to you. Talk with your local legislators and invite them to your place of business. Let them know how important you are to the community, and explain what your biggest challenges are. If you engage your elected officials in a constructive way, they will listen, and you can make an impact.
The Legislative Committee strives to keep the important business issues in front of you, and gives you opportunities to meet with local elected officials throughout the year. Watch for our events and updates - we hope you'll participate!

Re/Max All Pro - Bobbie Gerbrecht - Grayson

RE/MAX ALL PRO IS PROUD TO ANNOUNCE THEIR MOVE TO DOWNTOWN ST. CHARLES.

RE/MAX All Pro has served the Fox Valley and surrounding areas with residential and commercial real estate since 1989.  They have now moved their western situated office to the newly constructed 505 W. MAIN ST. building in St. Charles. Find them directly across from Lincoln Park, four blocks west of the riverfront.

Owner, Tim Binning, stated "As a long time St. Charles resident, my wife Laura and I have been extremely grateful to be able to raise our children in this community. By moving this office downtown we are looking forward to having a bigger presence in the various festivals and parades that people all over Illinois come to enjoy. With this endeavor we hoped to be considered a positive accent to the beautiful cityscape we've always enjoyed. Our goal with this move is to highlight the professional, and uncommonly knowledgeable agents within our office, these agents have been a really fantastic reflection of what RE/MAX is known for and they deserve to work in a location that better suits them. I would like to encourage both buyers and sellers to come visit us and experience how this office working as a team makes a difference".

With their new, larger space RE/MAX All Pro plans offer even greater customer based services and welcome other like minded agents into their multi-office organization.

RE/MAX All Pro offices hosts over 75 trained and experienced agents within three newly designed offices in Bloomingdale, Sugar Grove and St. Charles.
