A STAFF FAVORITE
RECIPE
FROM:

Fiesta Lime Chicken
1 1/2 cups cooked long grain rice
3/4 cup canned black beans, rinsed and heated
3/4 cup cooked corn, heated
1 large tomato, diced
1 large scallion, fine diced
2-4 tbsp chopped cilantro (to your liking)
1 tbsp fresh squeezed lime juice
salt to taste
In a large bowl, combine hot rice, heated corn, heated beans, tomato , scallion, cilantro, lime juice and salt if needed. Toss and serve
Slow Cooker Salsa Verde Chicken
1 1/2 lbs raw skinless chicken tenders
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp oregano
1/8 tsp cumin
salt, to taste
16 oz roasted salsa verde (my favorite is Whole Foods 365 brand)
Season chicken with garlic powder, oregano, cumin and salt and place in bottom of the slow cooker.
Cover with salsa verde, cover and cook HIGH 2 hours. Remove chicken, shred with 2 forks.
Remove 2/3 cup of liquid from the slow cooker, and discard (unless you want over rice).
Place shredded chicken back into slow cooker with remaining salsa and keep warm.
Can serve in taco shells or over brown rice with peppers, onion, tomato and avocado.

You should be familiar with the signs and symptoms of pre-term labor. The sooner problems are identified and addressed, the better the chances of prolonging the pregnancy!
- Contractions or tightening of the belly muscles every 10 minutes or less
- A low, dull backache
- Belly cramps with or without diarrhea
- Cramping resembling menstrual cramps
- Feeling of pressure in the pelvic area
- A change in vaginal discharge
If you have ANY of these symptoms before you're close to your due date (<37 weeks), contact our office AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
We have a physician on-call 24/7 for
MEDICAL EMERGENCIES so if you're experiencing problems in the middle of the night, please don't hesitate to call.
