Emory Knoll Farms
A Rare and Unusual Tour
Our 2018 Conference in Newark, Delaware kicks off with the Pre-Conference Tour on Sunday, September 23rd. We will head southwest into Maryland for stops at four outstanding operations: The Perennial Farm, Manor View Farm, Foxborough Nursery, all of which have many rare and unusual plant cultivars, and Emory Knoll Farms, a long-time leader in plants for green roofs. This is a unique tour to a few of the premier growing operations in the eastern US. Check it out HERE.
Using Surfactants in Vegetative Cuttings
There are many factors that contribute to the success of propagating cuttings. One practice that some greenhouse growers employ to increase the rooting success of their vegetative cuttings is the use of a surfactant. Michigan State's Heidi Linberg provides a review of why and how to use greenhouse adjuvants HERE.
