Happy New Year to all!

This month we celebrate the work of Martin Luther King who made one of his biggest (and most threatening to

the establishment) moves in defense of African-Americans rights to fair and integrated housing. The struggle to override housing discrimination still goes on today.

Listen to this interesting piece on housing discrimination that appeared on This American Life last November.

Defending the middle class and everyone's right to share in the benefits of having this standard of living (previously known as the American Dream) is something at which Democrats have lead the way for decades. This is true in DuPage as well.

Please celebrate the sometimes arduous road Democrats have faced in the 40 years since we last had a spate of electoral successes in the wake of Watergate (1974) by honoring the real breakthroughs that this road has lead to finally in 2014.
