Sermon Series

Winter Sermon Series: The Biblical Guide to Relationships
If you think that the Bible will give you examples of perfectly developed relationships with proper priorities, you will be severely disappointed. Instead, the Bible testifies to relationships that look a whole lot like ours: love and competitiveness, joy and brokenness, grief and new beginnings, loss and reconciliation. Our need to claim the grace of God for our relationships is described from cover to cover in scripture.

Sermon:  "Water into Wine"
Scripture:  John 2:1-10

Dr. Will Cotton will preach at all three worship services.  The Source , our weekly devotional guide, is available on the church website

The Alleluia Chorus Children's Choir will sing at 8:30 and 11 am services. The Youth Choir will sing at the 11 am service. As we celebrate Scouting Ministry Sunday, boy and girl scouts will be assisting in both sanctuary services.

Please join us in worship this weekend...Sunday at 8:30 am (Sanctuary), 9:40 am (Family Life Center) or 11 am (Sanctuary).
Words from Will...
Relationship Renewal This Sunday
This Sunday, we will conclude our series,  The Biblical Guide to Relationships, with a time for relationship renewal for marriages, families, friendships...even relational renewal in the workplace. We serve a God who is defined in relationship: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, yet one. In Christian Believer this week we focused on the Trinity in which this oneness as a willing and loving relationship is a model for how
Dalia and Reece
we relate to one another. Everyone who desires to freshen up your key relationships is invited for this special worship service.

For the Cottons, we are also celebrating a special event, the marriage of our youngest son, Reece and his fiancée, Dalia, in Granbury on February 17. Reece is 6' 1" and she is 4'9". Dalia is a beautiful and energetic spitfire that has already brought great joy to our family. I ask for your prayers as they begin their marriage next week. Also pray that I will get through the service without becoming a blubbering idiot!

What a joy it is for Tina and me to be in relationship with you, sharing faith, hope and love in Jesus Christ.

See you Sunday.

Heifer Project

Progress report on the Heifer Project

Elementary Sunday School classes all selected an animal as their goal to purchase during this spring mission. The children are very excited about their goals and have been working steadily towards them.

Collected so far
$7.69 Chicks - $20
1st Girls $37.37 Rabbits - $60
1st Boys $37.38 Pig - $120
2nd Grade $42.61 Fish - $300
3rd Grade $98.41 Llama - $150
4th Grade $87.25 Llama - $150
5th Grade $167.83 Heifer - $500

The  Heifer Project empowers families to turn hunger and poverty into hope and prosperity - but the approach is more than giving a handout. The animals given to families provide both food and reliable income: agricultural products such as milk, eggs and honey that can be traded or sold at market. Families' lives are restored when they can become self-supporting again. Most importantly, families receive the gift of hope and they can share their hope by passing on the gift. Each family who is a recipient of livestock from Heifer International enjoys the dignity of becoming a donor by passing on the gift of one or more of its animal's offspring to a neighbor in need.
